Chapman Family Interests was built from the ground up through work, discipline, perseverance and faith. What began as effort and opportunity has grown into a responsibility: to steward what has been built, strengthen what is entrusted to us and prepare the next generation to carry it forward.

We came from small-town Texas, from parents who understood that work was not a burden. It was a gift. Our parents and grandparents were not people who talked about what they would do. They did it.
That upbringing left a mark. Not in the form of inherited wealth, but in something more durable: a clear picture of what honest effort looks like, and what it can produce over time. The lesson was not complicated. Show up. Work hard. Do it right. Repeat.

We are a Christian family. That is not a footnote: it is the foundation. What we have been given, we hold in trust. The land, the businesses, the relationships, the resources: none of it belongs to us in any final sense. We are stewards of what God has placed in our hands, and that shapes every decision we make.
Stewardship is not passive. It requires attention, discipline and a willingness to be accountable, not just to family, but to something larger than ourselves. We ask ourselves whether what we are doing is worthy of what we have been entrusted with. That question keeps us honest.
It also reminds us to be generous. What we have been given was never meant to stop with us. It should serve people, strengthen communities and support purposes that will outlast any one generation. We have been blessed with the opportunity to build. We take seriously the responsibility that comes with it.

We are not building for ourselves. The work ethic, the discipline and the willingness to start with nothing and see something through are not just how we built what we have. They are what we most want to pass on. A child who knows how to work, who understands that things worth having require sacrifice and who carries their faith into the way they live and treat others has been given something far more valuable than anything we could leave behind. That is the inheritance that matters most.
The same faith and values that guided us are what we want the next generation to carry forward. Not as obligation, but as foundation. We have tried to build in a way that demonstrates what we believe: that integrity compounds, that generosity is not a cost, that the way you treat people is inseparable from the quality of what you build.
We want them to understand that they have a responsibility to something larger than themselves. To their community, to the people whose livelihoods are connected to what we steward and to the land and institutions we have been entrusted with. That responsibility is not a burden. It gives the work meaning. It reminds us why we build, why we care for what we have been given and why we want to leave something worth carrying forward for generations to come.
